Bartender with exceptional skills Required:

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, taking care of bar guests, supporting dining-room beverage service, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and helping drive sales through hospitality, speed, product knowledge, and professionalism.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced restaurant environment, knows how to connect with guests, and takes pride in creating consistent cocktails, strong service, and a positive bar atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, mocktails, and other beverages according to Oh London standards.
• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service at the bar.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system.
• Make thoughtful recommendations and upsell cocktails, wine, appetizers, desserts, specials, and event-night offerings.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the menu, bar offerings, specials, events, brunch items, and private dining options.
• Ensure all guests are served responsibly and in compliance with alcohol-service laws and company policies.
• Check IDs and monitor guest consumption appropriately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, stocked, and visually appealing bar area throughout the shift.
• Complete opening, running, and closing side work.
• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, napkins, straws, and other bar supplies.
• Assist with inventory awareness and communicate low-stock items to management.
• Support servers with drink orders for the dining room, private dining room, banquet hall, and event spaces.
• Help create a welcoming atmosphere during live music, brunch, private events, and high-volume periods.
• Handle cash, credit-card payments, tabs, and guest transactions accurately.
• Follow health, sanitation, and safety standards at all times.
• Work as part of the FOH team and support servers, hosts, managers, and BOH staff as needed.
• Assist with bussing, resetting, cleaning, and general guest service during slower periods.
• Represent Oh London professionally in front of guests at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience preferred; high-volume restaurant, lounge, pub, or upscale casual experience is a plus.
• Strong cocktail, beer, wine, and spirits knowledge preferred.
• Ability to deliver warm, professional, and efficient guest service.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts consistently.
• Weekend availability required.
• Brunch, event, and evening availability strongly preferred.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and hospitality.
• Strong communication skills and a positive team attitude.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
• Must meet all legal requirements to serve alcohol in Missouri.
• Food handler and responsible beverage service certification preferred, or willingness to obtain if required.
